Question for CCP: Right now when we are on the balcony we see a hangar space that looks quite different from the hanger spaces we were seeing pre-incarna. With the coming return of ship spinning, which hangar space will the ship-only view be in, the new one or the old one? If its the old one, then that is rather immersion breaking. Somehow the hanger magically changes in the blink of the eye when I leave the ship. CCP employees should never proclaim a feature to be awesome. Only subscribers should. |

Oh, another question: Will dragging a ship out of the ship window work even if we are in avatar view mode?
Also when we are in the CQ it seems to me that you could make it so any double click that is not a valid location for walking would result in an open cargo hold.
In other words, restore the station functionality not matter if we are looking at a ship or an avatar. CCP employees should never proclaim a feature to be awesome. Only subscribers should. |

Last but not least, the pod structure should be moved inside next to a shower. The current placement makes no sense. Even if you like having random capsuleers stare at your ass while they're docking, it's no fun dragging all that slime across your living room. Gosh, just look at your own promotional videos to see what it should be like. :)
I thought the nanites in the pod cleaned and dressed you, so you stepped out of the pod as we see the avatars.
Edit: And I thought the promotional video was the activation of a Med clone, not a normal pod exit. CCP employees should never proclaim a feature to be awesome. Only subscribers should. |

If so, let's say that regardless of nanites I would prefer the situation I described. :) Vincent Athena wrote: Edit: And I thought the promotional video was the activation of a Med clone, not a normal pod exit.
That's certainly not the impression that I got, but you might very well be right. Also, if the nanite technology exists, why use it when exiting a pod but not when activating a medical clone?
Its more traumatic, you just died. The process takes longer and is harder on you and your new body. I got that idea from watching the TV in the CQ. A bit of the "decanting" sequence is shown, right after a picture of a corpse floating in space.
That made me think the decanting sequence was for a med clone. Also CCP has said many times that if something seems immersion breaking, then you forgot about the nanites. This implies the rapidity of the pod exit, going from pod to a clothed state, must be the work of nanites.
That said, when you die you got your new avatar just as fast as when you dock. So all my story spinning still does not completely fit the game.
Im not drawn to the idea of the pod beside a shower. But I would like to see it located about where the undock button is, with me standing just outside the doors like I had just stepped out, when I dock. Then clicking on the pod would be the undock button.
